Welcome to Christ Episcopal School's Upper School

Christ Episcopal School has provided a unique learning environment in our community for 27 years. Established in 1984, we grew to include grades K through 5th by 1985, and continued to expand through the years; in 1998, the 8th grade was established. The first 9th grade class was launched in 2009, the beginning of an exciting new chapter in the history of our school. We will add one grade per year, extending the original mission of Christ Episcopal School to the new Upper School, and continuing its tradition of excellence.

Our classes are small and our students are expected to respect and enjoy the learning process. They are encouraged to discover and develop their unique gifts, interests and talents and to reflect on how they can use them to make the world a better place. Opportunities for this discovery and development are at the core of the program.

The curriculum is college preparatory and rigorous. It is focused on developing skills which will serve our students through the rest of their lives: problem solving, critical reasoning, interpretation, effective communication, collaboration, analytical research, creativity and innovation, accuracy, and a deep mastery of core content.

The outdoor education program and other experiential learning opportunities serve to develop in each student an appreciation for God’s creation and a respect for the environment, and to instill in each a sense of confidence and comfort in meeting the challenges which await them.

Our graduates will be life-long learners who possess a strong Christian ethic and morality, a true sense of gratitude and a firm understanding of our spiritual responsibility to follow Christ. They are intelligent, articulate, independent, critical thinkers, who believe in themselves and each other. They will be well prepared to succeed in their post-secondary studies and in their future lives.
