CESPA Events and Activities

CESPA Events and Activities

· CESPA Meetings and Events: Responsible for the planning and execution of all CESPA social events. The primary focus is on our two general meetings/socials and class coffees. However, this arrangements committee will often be called upon to support smaller school gatherings, parent receptions and speaker forums as they evolve throughout the year. This committee requires an army of volunteers.
o The CESPA School Time Soiree serves as the fall meeting held soon after the beginning of school.  Introduction of CESPA plans for the year and an opportunity to volunteer, meet new friends and catch up with old friends. This will be held on Thursday, August 28th from 6-8 in the CBC gym.
o In the Spring General Meeting, CESPA will review the year’s accomplishments and present the slate of CESPA officers for the coming year.  Date and time will be announced later.

· CESPA Sunshine: Plans and coordinates treats, breakfasts and luncheons throughout the school year for the faculty and staff on both campuses. They also organize and execute Teacher Appreciation week, including student participation activities at the lower school.

· CES Apparel Sales: Responsible for organizing and ordering all school related apparel. Activity peaks during registration.

· CESPA Links: Aims to welcome and support new families as they become integrated into our school community. This placement begins in the spring, as openings are filled for the upcoming school year and continues, as necessary, until sponsored families have made a comfortable transition.

· Publicity/Communications: We are looking for a staff of photographers to be responsible for photographing major school events and submitting photos for the yearbook and submission to local media. The Chair of this Committee coordinates with the School Administration.

· Community Outreach - An integral part of the school's mission is to create an awareness of living as responsible citizens in God's world. CESPA volunteers assist the Administration in coordinating community service projects.

· Service Learning: Under the direction of Service Learning Coordinator, service learning focuses on exposing students of all ages to a variety of age appropriate and fulfilling community service opportunities. Christwood, The  Food Bank, Meals on Wheels and Headstart are a few of the programs we work with. Dedicated parent support forms the "heart" of this program.

· Grandparents Day: This wonderful event  is held  on Friday October 24 on both campuses. Sharing our school with grand friends, friends from Christwood and other special guests proves to be an enriching experience for all ages.
