Christ Episcopal Baseball Tryouts
Breaking News! 2012 will be the inaugural year for a CES Boys Varsity Baseball Team. We plan to play in an informal league against teams such as St Peters, Holy Ghost, St Joseph, Mater Dolorosa, Northlake Christian, and others. The games will take place between Feb 16th and April 3rd, with the majority occurring in March on Tuesdays and Wednesdays after school or early evening. We will not schedule any games or practices during the Mardi Gras break. We will try to practice outside 4 or 5 times, and will work-out inside at Yeager Baseball in Covington 5 or 6 times. The games will be played on 80'/54' fields with a couple of games scheduled for 90' bases. Boys in grades 6th, 7th, and 8th graders are invited to open tryouts for the team.

Tryouts will be held:
• 3:15-5:15 this Friday, Feb 3rd at Coquille Sports Complex, 13505 Highway 1085, Covington, LA.
• 11:00-1:00 on Saturday, Feb 4th at Yeager Baseball, 300 Ozone Park Rd, Covington (turn behind Cordell's Furniture and towards Ozone Park)
• 3:15-5:15 on Monday, Feb 6th again at the Coquille Sports Complex.

Please have your player bring appropriate equipment and attire including baseball pants, cleats, cap, and a protective cup and supporter. Also, please try to attend all of the sessions if possible. In addition to the evaluation, we will get in a good workout!

If you are unable to attend the tryout sessions but are interested in participating, please give Craig Alexander a call on his cell phone (817.271.5318) or drop him an e-mail calexander@gaylordchem.com before the tryouts, or call Chuck Hughes (985.264.8105) or email cmhjr@tahk.net to indicate interest and to discuss any questions that you might have regarding the season. We should be able to work out an alternate time. This "mini season" should be a lot of fun!
